New York, New York (2018) — The Photography of Armando Geneyro

It had been well over 20 years since I was last in NYC. Although 72 hours isn’t nearly long enough to be there, the homies and I arrived with an ambitious agenda, so we had to make the most of our time and cover a ton of ground, while taking in the iconic views, and engaging with the locals whenever we had an opportunity.

Being the birthplace of Hip-Hop, the Bronx was somewhat of a pilgrimage for me. Although we were only there for a short time, it was important to me to visit that neighborhood. Some New Yorkers go their whole life without visiting the cultural gem that is the Bronx. Hitting Queens and Flushing Meadows Corona Park on a Saturday to be around that borough’s large Colombian community was also a major highlight for me.

I have to give a very special thank you to the homies Rob (@_robertpatrick) and Lou (@yourboylou) for the incredible hospitality out there. The whole squad was appreciative.
